Brain Thing Support Community

If you’re like most parents of a child with an FASD, you know that it’s hard to find people who get it.

You've found your people. Welcome!

Photo is of Nate Sheets, a white man with a beard wearing a blue sweater.

“My name is Nate Sheets, and my goal is to help you understand your child and their brain!”

I believe that children and adults with FASD’s want to do well, but their disability makes thinking and regulating difficult in many everyday situations. It’s not that they won’t, it is that they can’t.

The Cognitive Supports™ framework focuses on the brain, allowing us to always assume the best of our child and ourselves. I want to be here for you to give you individualized, practical, and proactive strategies when you need them.
