I don’t even know where to begin with my son’s Cognitive Support Plan. It has changed everything! I thought I had a pretty good grasp on understanding my son and just thought we were stuck. I was at the end of my rope for sure. Since using the approaches outlined in this amazing document (while coupling with YouTube videos by Nate) I have a totally new perspective on the why’s of my son’s “behaviors”. My level of understanding has grown tenfold. Because of this, we are more bonded. My little 8-year-old boy is speaking more than ever! His skill sets are better than at any point in his little life. I see opportunity in places where I may have not seen them before. This has changed my life for the better in more ways that I can say!
My experience with Nate’s Cognitive Support Assessment was amazing. It has been so helpful in showing others how my son should be perceived vs. the standard responses. With so many different individuals involved in my son’s life (OT/PT/SP, respite, family, and school), the document gives a whole and definitive look at my son. I cannot say enough how wonderfully liberating to have this in my possession.
